One of the leading mesothelioma charities in the country, Mesothelioma UK, has opened a brand new headquarters. The charity, which is a vital specialist resource for those suffering with mesothelioma, was previously based at Glenfield Hospital.
At the beginning of the year the new headquarters were opened at The Sidings, Birstall, by Lord Lieutenant of Leicestershire, Lady Gretton.
Mesothelioma UK is dedicated to providing specialist mesothelioma information, support and education, and to improving care and treatment for all UK mesothelioma patients and their carers. They are a valuable resource for those diagnosed with mesothelioma and their families. They provide a free telephone helpline along with a benefits advice service. They are also involved in fundraising which supports a team of specialist nurses and research.
Charity director and consultant nurse, Liz Darlison, was excited about the move; “Our new offices will enable Mesothelioma UK to grow in order to provide improved support and information across the UK, specifically for mesothelioma.”
